CTS Driver privacy notice
Last updated 14 August 2026
Who this notice is for
This notice explains how the CTS Driver app and Complete Transport Solutions platform use information when a Driver signs in and completes work for an authorised transport business. Your employer or the transport business that assigned the work is responsible for deciding why operational Driver data is used. Contact that business first if you have a privacy request or question about a Journey or employment record.
Information used by CTS Driver
- Account, Company, Driver profile and device-registration identifiers needed to authenticate you securely.
- Assigned vehicles, daily vehicle checks, defects and related safety evidence.
- Assigned Jobs and Journeys, stop addresses, planned work, status times, quantities, waiting, exceptions and Nothing to Collect outcomes.
- Proof of delivery or collection evidence that you choose or are required to submit, which may include recipient details, notes, signatures, photographs and documents.
- Security and reliability metadata such as command identifiers, device-local sequence, session state, submission and receipt times, and limited diagnostics.
CTS Driver does not use information for third-party advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. This pilot does not collect continuous GPS location.
Why information is used
Information is used to authenticate Drivers, allocate and complete transport work, maintain fleet and road-safety records, provide operational evidence, resolve exceptions, protect accounts and devices, support offline recovery, and meet the transport business's legal and contractual obligations.
Storage and sharing
The app communicates with the CTS backend through authenticated APIs and has no direct database access. Credentials are stored in iOS Keychain. Pending work and foreground proof-of-delivery transfers are encrypted on the iPhone and excluded from device backups. Operational records are available only to authorised users of the relevant Company and may be shared with service providers that host or support CTS, and with regulators, customers or authorities when the transport business has a lawful reason to do so.
Retention and your choices
Records are retained according to the transport business's configured retention, legal-hold and regulatory requirements. Some records are immutable evidence and corrections are retained alongside the original. You can control whether to provide optional notes or evidence; required operational evidence may be necessary to complete assigned work. For access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection requests, contact your employer or the transport business that assigned the work. They can identify the appropriate privacy contact and determine which legal obligations apply.
Changes and questions
This notice will be updated when CTS Driver begins using materially different data, such as an approved vehicle-location service. Questions about the app itself can be raised through your CTS administrator or transport manager, who can contact the CTS support team through the organisation's established support channel.
